The major design features that you should take into account while buying a wireless speaker is its size, portability and in general the overall appearance. The JBL Clip 3 and JBL GO 2 both are equipped with a control panel for its operation on the device itself. When the Clip 3version from JBL is weather sealed, the JBL GO 2 is not. This is a huge disadvantage for GO 2 as it restricts its outdoor usage options. The Clip 3 however, is protected with extra seals to prevent failures due to weather conditions. Although both speakers have dustproof protection and water resistant features. The GO 2 model comes with IPX7 waterproof housing to protect it from splashes and spills.

The JBL Clip 3 version has voice prompts and supports voice commands but the GO 2 does not.
