The One Plus 7 and One Plus 7 Pro are the newest models released from the brand after the launch of One Plus 6T in late 2018. Confused about which one to buy?. Here we provide a detailed analysis comparing the two models to help you determine which among the two suits your needs.

STRUCTURE
Aesthetically the major difference between the one plus 7 regular model and the one plus 7 pro model are as follows
- At the bottom of the phone, we have symmetrical grills and the type c port for the regular version and for the pro version we have a sim card tray and just the one grill.
- On the top of the phone, the pro model has the pop-up camera section which is not present in the regular version and that is because on the pro model we have the full bezel display whereas for the regular version we have the water drop or dewdrop notch for accommodating the camera. It is the best implementation of a notch found on any phones.
- Based on looks alone, the one plus 7 is similar to the one plus 6T model but one of the main differences on the front is the fact that we have a stereo speaker not only on the pro model but also on the regular one which was a big request among the one plus fans after the release of one plus 6T.
- On the side, we have the power buttons and alert sliders on both. The alert slider is slightly bigger on the pro model than the regular
DISPLAY
- The 2 major differences between the devices are the fact that on the pro model, we have a curved infinity display whereas the regular one has a flat display. And of course the pro has a larger display and is, therefore, a larger phone with 6.67-inch QHD+Display with 516 PPI and 3120 x 1440 resolution display compared to the 6.41-inch FHD+Display with 402 PPI and 2340 x 1080 resolution display of the regular one which in its own right is a massive phone. As far as size goes, the regular version has a more manageable size, especially for one-handed use.
- Both models have an AMOLED display. The regular model has a refresh rate of 60 Hz whereas the one plus 7 pro is the first device to ever put a 90 Hz refresh rate on an AMOLED display. Unless u have used both the models the 6o Hz refresh rate won’t bother you in any way.
CAMERA AND SENSORS
- Both models have the optical fingerprint sensors and the face lock for which the One Plus 7 Pro model uses the popup camera and the regular one uses the notch camera.
- The regular one plus 7 version has a dual camera on the back whereas the pro version has a triple camera on the back. Both versions come with a 48 MP primary camera but we have an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3 times optical zoom on the pro version whereas we only have a 5 MP telephoto lens with 2 ties optical zoom on the regular model and on the pro, the third lens is a 16 MP wide-angle lens. So that is the main area you are going to miss out on if you choose the regular version over the pro version.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE SPECS
- Both models come with android 9 with oxygen operating system and they will have exactly the same software running in both of them as there is no advantage or disadvantage for having a curve display for the pro version which they do not utilize in their software. Now in terms of hardware specs both are very similar in having an octa-core processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/UFS 3.0. and Adreno 640 graphics.
- Pro version comes in 3 variations with 6GBram/128GB storage,8GB ram/256GB storage.and 12GB rama/256GB storage.and the regular version comes with a 6GB ram/128GB storage and 8GB ram/128GBstorage.
BATTERY
- In terms of charging the regular version comes with a 3700 mah battery capacity whereas the pro version comes with a 4000 mah battery. The pro model also comes with the warped charge feature which is 30 watts fast charging whereas for the regular version it only has a standard fast charge.
