There was a time when I used to put my smartphone in 2G only mode. This was simply because 3G services were not common back in 2012 so that I can save some battery if I use 2G only mode. But nowadays people cant even think about living without a 3G or 4G connection on their smartphone.
It has been two weeks since Xiaomi has started rolling out its brand new version of custom android skin -MIUI 9 stable. The top selling phone of the year Redmi Note 4 has already got the MIUI 9 OTA update with Nougat and split screen. However 2016 top seller phone Redmi Note 3 as well as the budget killer Redmi 4 users has to wait a little longer to get their hands on MIUI 9.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is a newly launched budget smartphone focusing on selfies. The biggest competitor to Y1 is the Xiaomi’s own Redmi 4. In terms of pricing both are very similar, buy the biggest advertising that the Xiaomi uses for Y1 is its 16 megapixel front facing camera. They are not even mentioned about the rear facing camera of Y1.
MIUI has many android features that are customized in a fashion that is more user friendly and advantageous. One such feature that is introduced by Xiaomi in MIUI 8 is the Second Space. Second space is like having two devices, on a software point of view at least. Once a Second Space is created, you can switch between the spaces easily.
